Decorative Balls

A decorative ball can be used for furniture, curtains, or clothes and is created by suspending covered balls and yarn balls along one edge at regular intervals.

Step 1: Pour around a half cup of glue into the container, then add approximately a third of a cup of water and mix well to create a more fluid mixture.

Step 2: After dipping your twine, jute cord, or another type of string into the adhesive, begin winding it about the polystyrene ball. Normally begin by working the way around the ball, beginning at the end that was the most constrained and the smallest. It is beneficial to have a greater quantity of glue mix on your cord or twine.  it is beneficial to have a greater quantity of glue mix on the cord or twine.

Step 3: Continue to wind the string or twine around the ball in a clockwise direction until it is completely covered. During this messy phase; you might want to rinse your hands on a regular basis so that the glue does not get caught to your fingers and cause you to pull other portions of the rope or twine out of their holders. 

Step 4: The next step is to let the paint dry, which could take anything from a few hours to an entire day.

Step 5: When they are completely dry, you can arrange them as you like on your favoured plate, bowl, or vase. These are quite easy to build (albeit a little messy), and once completed, they can serve as an attractive centrepiece for a side table, dining table, or even an entrance table in a hallway. You may also construct decorative balls in a variety of colours to match the seasons, such as yellows and oranges for the spring, or you can make them to use as a centrepiece for a holiday such as Christmas or Thanksgiving.
