Oxygen Therapy Equipment

Oxygen therapy equipment is used to examine, support and monitor an individual’s oxygen system. It is used for patients dealing with asthma, lung disease, pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, sleep apnea and other respiratory health condition. The different types of equipment include oxygen concentrator, compressed gas cylinders, and liquid oxygen tank. These are designed to deliver breathable oxygen gas imperative for a patient’s health. 

Both the oxygen concentrators and liquid gas cylinders are available in stationary unit and portable unit. Both stationary and portable oxygen concentrators compress ambient air and separate nitrogen from gaseous mixture to deliver oxygen-rich gas. Stationary versions are widely used in medical facilities, ambulances and industries, while portable units are prescribed by doctors for home oxygen therapy purpose. The compressed gas cylinder uses pressure gauge, flow meter, valve, hoses and oxygen mask to deliver oxygen to a patient; and the liquid oxygen tank first vaporizes the gas to compressed gas form and then warms at room temperature before delivering gas.
