Pooja Thali

Pooja thali is a type of religious plate used to contain pooja items, such as diya, akshat, shankh, turmeric powder, sweets, holy water and other material, while offering prayers to god or/and performing rituals. It may be a simple, appealing plate or may come with compartments to store items on it. It is a decorated and crafted thali made of brass, copper, marble, wood, steel, clay, acrylic or other materials.  

Pooja thali comes in a variety of sizes, shapes, colours and design. Gold, silver and multicolour are the most common surface finishes for this plate’s appealing and decorating look. It is used in temples, homes, as well as, personal purposes at offices too.
